Ana has experience in material resource efficiency and waste management, implementing circular economy thinking, and strategic environmental planning for developments and urban areas. She has also worked on environmental impact assessment and strategies and developed international sustainability standards. Ana has a demonstrated history of working in the construction and built environment industry.
Previously, Ana worked on projects in a number of countries (Portugal, United Kingdom, Brazil, Chile, Angola, Mozambique, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, and across Europe). She integrated design teams on different projects and implemented performance measurement tools for the construction sector to measure, analyze, and benchmark construction performance including productivity, efficiency, and environmental impact. Ana also served as project manager for the BRE project, ‘Advancing the Sustainability of Social Housing in Brazil’ developing national Sustainable Construction Standards for the Brazilian Government. In this role, she worked with a number of stakeholders in the housing delivery process, including funding organizations, contractors, municipalities, and consultants around delivering sustainable housing.
Ana holds a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering and is a member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology. She is also a chartered environmentalist of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
