Richard Nayer

Richard is an energy and climate expert with more than five years of experience supporting public- and private-sector clients navigate the road to net-zero emissions.
Richard is a program manager with more than five years of experience designing and delivering services to the energy and climate industries, including proven capabilities in engineering, policy making, and policy implementation. 

Richard manages the technical support program for the U.K. government’s Industrial Energy Transformation Fund and is a subject matter expert on industrial-process decarbonization and energy efficiency. He also manages a portfolio of corporate sustainability projects in Europe and leads an expert team that supports clients in defining their journeys to net-zero emissions, assisting them with regulatory reporting requirements.

As a chartered chemical engineer, Richard’s expertise covers the entire engineering project lifecycle, from systems engineering, feasibility studies, and process definition and design to project engineering, procurement, and construction management. This includes a breadth of processes from nuclear material processing to build services. He applies this experience and provides energy-efficiency policy advice directly to the U.K. government, combining fundamental knowledge with market data analytics to provide actionable insights to decision-makers.

Richard has a master’s degree in chemical and environmental engineering with honors from the University of Nottingham and is a registered Chartered Engineer through the Institute of Chemical Engineering.
