Shaojin is the designated reporting expert of the EU-China ETS Platform project and the program manager of the US-China Clean Energy Research Center Building Energy Efficiency (CERC-BEE) Program. She provides technical supports to the EU-China Energy Cooperation Platform project, China Carbon Pricing Survey, Better Buildings China, and projects under the Prosperity Fund.
She has over three years of experience in policy and market analysis, strategic advisory, project implementation, quantitative analysis, communications and reporting in fields of energy policy, energy efficiency, sustainable development, carbon market, and international economics and politics.
Shaojin previously worked on the “Study of Building Energy Efficiency Policies in Two Chinese Cities: Beijing and Shenzhen” for Hong Kong Business Environment Council. In this project, she researched, analysed, and presented on policies that support energy efficiency in residential and commercial buildings at national, provincial, and city level. Shaojin was an analyst of the “Resource Efficiency Assessment and Improvement of Dongying Industrial Park” project, where she was responsible for research, data collection, on-site interviews, and energy management analysis.
Shaojin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Economics from Middlebury College in Vermont, USA. Her senior independent research quantified the effect of Clean Power Plan on stock prices of utilities in the United States.
