Rathin leads our Energy Efficiency division in India and has over a decade of experience in industrial energy efficiency, climate change, and sustainable development. He has successfully managed and delivered several critical assignments in small and large industries, spread across different sectors. Rathin has supported various multilaterals and has deep expertise in policy advisory, circular economy, and energy benchmarking. He has assisted organizations under different themes, such as establishing feasibility models and performing resource assessments, market projections, techno-economic analysis, risk assessment, and scenario comparisons. His work also involves technology assessment and forecasting, economic analysis, and lifecycle assessment of competing technologies for enabling transition in the industrial sector.

Rathin has deep expertise in resource efficiency, water reduction, energy benchmarking, and key performance indicator formulation of industrial sub-sectors. He has assisted industries in the textile, power plant, iron, steel, ceramic, and paper sectors in moving towards sustainability. He has supported numerous multilaterals in mitigating greenhouse gas emissions through energy assessment studies, enhancing the energy system’s sustainability. Rathin supports strategic objectives for socio-economic development and environmental goals. He has also worked extensively for the thermal (coal) power sector across different domains, including operation and maintenance, commissioning, efficiency, energy management, technical services, and business excellence.
