Margaret James is a program director/manager with extensive experience in designing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating European Union (EU) and UK programs in migration, humanitarian aid, equalities, and social and labor market inclusion. Her work focuses on disadvantaged and vulnerable groups, including asylum seekers, refugees, women, and young people. Ms. James has worked extensively with the European Commission (EC), including the Directorates General for Migration and Home Affairs, Education and Culture, Employment and Humanitarian Aid; EU Agencies, including the Fundamental Rights Agency, Education and Culture Executive Agency and the European Asylum Support Office; and UK Government Departments, including Education, Work and Pensions and the Home Office.
Ms. James has an M.Sc. in Social Anthropology from Oxford University and a B.A. in Geography from Durham University. She also has an M.B.A. from Warwick Business School (UK), in conjunction with Aarhus (Denmark) and Solvay (Belgium) Business Schools.
