Ankit Gupta is a Managing Consultant with ICF with more than 9 years of experience in the natural gas domain. He has spent close to 7.5 years in GAIL (India) Limited, which is the largest state-owned natural gas processing and distribution company in India. He has also worked for more than a year with India’s biggest oil and gas industry body i.e. Federation of Indian Petroleum Industry.
During his tenure in GAIL, he has been involved in conceptualization of new projects taking into consideration the techno-economic feasibility along with commercial terms of projects. He has experience in projects like hiring of LNG vessels on long term basis, development of offshore regasification project in India, small scale LNG projects and development of a renewable 5 MW solar photovoltaic project. He has been involved in discussion and drafting of key terms of long term charter party agreements, commercial agreements, MoUs, joint venture agreements, term sheets and terminal capacity usage agreements etc. His other areas of experience include city gas distribution business, assessment of global natural gas trading hubs and natural gas market assessment.
He has also been involved in different stakeholder discussions with industry on various topics like enhanced oil recovery, marketing and pricing freedom for domestic natural gas, unified tariff for natural gas pipelines and different stakeholder’s meetings to develop India’s Natural Gas Vision 2030.
