Daniel Fien-Helfman is a transportation workforce researcher and analyst. He focuses on creating and maintaining a sustainable workforce for transportation agencies and assists them with recruiting and retaining highly qualified talent.
Mr. Fien-Helfman has assisted the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and the National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) with identifying and solving critical workforce gaps through extensive research involving literature reviews, interviews, and case studies with subject matter experts (SME) employed at state departments of transportation (DOT) across the country. He has coauthored reports and guidebooks identifying and benchmarking best practices in addressing workforce shortages and in attracting, recruiting, developing, and retaining skilled staff.
Mr. Fien-Helfman has a B.A. in Psychology from the College of William and Mary.
