Melissa Cidade is a survey methodologist for ICF's survey research business with over 10 years of experience. Previously, she held roles at Mathematica Policy Research, Inc., the U.S. Census Bureau, among others.
Ms. Cidade specializes in the conceptualization and operationalization of complex ideas into valid survey questions, with a particular eye toward response burden and satisficing. She has worked on institutional and population surveys, and is well versed in issues surrounding health, education, and community involvement. As survey methodologist, Ms. Cidade provides expertise in questionnaire design and implementation, question testing, and contact strategies for hard-to-survey populations. She has managed projects from the Department of Education, the Department of Health and Human Services, and others.
Ms. Cidade has a master's in sociology from the Catholic University of America and a bachelor's in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania.
