ICF is seeking a Wetland/Biology and Deputy Project Manager (DPM) to join our rapidly-growing Texas-based practice. The successful candidate would leverage their technical expertise and regulatory understanding to conduct wetland delineations and biological surveys for renewable energy developers and other clients. In addition, the candidate would be given immediate opportunities to build client relationships while working with and learning from talented biologists and project managers. The team's local office is in Austin, TX, and due to the location of field work, local candidates are preferred. Project market sectors will Include Wind power siting and repowering, Solar power siting, Battery storage, Water infrastructure & Transportation infrastructure
What You Will Do
Leading and performing wetland delineations and functional assessments
Assessing Impacts, preparing technical reports and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 404/10 permit applications and mitigation plans
Leading and performing plant and wildlife habitat assessments/surveys
Providing expertise and technical Input to project managers on complex projects involving Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, federal and state laws, and agency consultations.
Supporting project managers with client management, project documentation, scheduling, scoping, and budgeting
Helping to mentor, train, and guide junior-level staff
Required Education and Experience
BS in Biology, Natural Resource Sciences, Environmental Sciences, or a similar field
3+ years of experience in environmental consulting or applicable fields (government, consulting, academia)
Preferred Attributes and Experience
Strong knowledge of environmental consulting practices and environmental law
Experience with GPS technologies
Experience mobilizing and leading field efforts and conducting studies for renewable energy, water, and/or infrastructure clients
Technical writing and permit preparation
Certification as a Certified Wildlife Biologist (CWB) and/or Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) a plus
Experience coordinating field efforts, working to strategically staff projects and balance project priorities
Experience training junior staff.
Project Management skills, including scoping, scheduling, and tracking.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$58,161.00 - $98,873.00
