US Virgin Island Disaster Management Opportunities (CDBG- MIT)
Join our Disaster Management team in the US Virgin Island! Be part of our team of experts who work to improve the conditions of America's most at-risk populations and provide strategic consulting to support long-term recovery.
We are seeking professionals who will support government agencies in the US Virgin Island to implement projects that better protect the Island from future disasters.
As part of the growing Disaster Management Division, the position requires experience with the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant (CDBG).
As such, these positions also requires you to maintain a complete understanding of all applicable program policies, requirements, and procedures within the established project guidelines; and work to possess knowledge of regulatory and statutory compliance requirements for HUD funded programs & projects.
Position consist of the following:
Program and Deputy Program Manager – CDBG-MIT
Experience with and knowledge of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery and/or Mitigation – (CDBG-DR/MIT) program as well as other applicable federal disaster recovery programs.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in planning, engineering, law, economics, business administration, public administration, or related field .
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience, and at least three (3) years of specific experience in federally funded infrastructure and resiliency related programs
Grant Manager - Disaster Recovery CDBG-MIT
The Grant Manager will work onsite with the senior ICF staff, subject matter experts, and other staff to assist USVI with applications from eligible entities for development projects the island. These projects will include planning and infrastructure related mitigation activities that increase resilience to disasters.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher education in Planning, Public Policy/Administration, Business, Project Management, or similar area of study.
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience, and at least three (3) years of specific experience in federally funded programs
Infrastructure Manager - CDBG-MIT
As a CDBG-MIT Infrastructure manager, the position requires experience with and knowledge of Federal hazard mitigation and recovery programs and a preference for experience with and knowledge of the Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant – Mitigation (CDBG-MIT) program.
- Bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in planning, engineering, law, economics, business administration, public administration, or related field
- At least five (5) years of relevant experience, and at least three (3) years of specific experience in federally funded infrastructure and resiliency programs
