Tuberculosis Program Coordinator

Want to support global tuberculosis (TB) diagnostic and control programs? ICF’s International Health and Development team needs a TB Program Coordinator to support the USAID Infectious Disease Detection and Surveillance project. The person in this position will help to ensure that the project’s TB activities are planned to match resources and client needs, meet established milestones and deadlines, follow established procedures, and achieve high quality results. The position is based in ICF’s Metro-accessible Rockville office and supports the TB team, some of the other members of which are in Rockville and others are dispersed around the world.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make logistical arrangements for meetings, workshops, trainings, and travel.
  • Develop and maintain team schedules.
  • Maintain a database of TB consultants who can participate in activities.
  • Process paperwork for procurement, payment and approvals.
  • Coordinate and track writing, review, and submission of work plans, budgets, and monitoring & evaluation plans.
  • Monitor progress of activity deliverables and ensure timely review and submission.
  • Work with other project team members to ensure that TB activities follow project branding, reporting, and monitoring processes.
  • Take and circulate notes for meetings.
  • Apply international health knowledge to research, plan, communicate and achieve project objectives.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree plus at least 1 year of working experience in international development.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong English speaking and writing ability.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of global TB diagnostics and epidemiology.
  • Work planning and project monitoring and evaluation.
  • Project budgeting and tracking.
  • Experience working in low- and middle-income countries on health-related projects.
  • Proficiency in one or more languages spoken in high TB burden countries.
  • Global health security, infectious disease, and or health informatics experience.
  • USAID global health projects experience.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a team in a constantly changing environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • High level of accuracy and discretion essential.
  • Experience working independently and with a geographically diverse team. 
  • Problem-solving and ability to respond effectively to changing priorities.
