Training Project Manager

ICF is currently seeking a Training Project Manager (remote). We aren’t generic contractors; we are expert consultants. We work with our clients determine the ideal solution to their problems. We are seeking candidates who can lead and manage projects developing dynamic and engaging learning content and products with an emphasis on user-centered design, user experience (UX), and accessibility for all learners.

You will oversee and direct the work of instructional systems designers and instructional technologists and act as a single point of contact for resolution of content and product-related issues, working under the direction of a Training Program Manager. You will be responsible for managing and implementing the overall contract requirements and overseeing the implementation of more complex tasks. You will oversee communication support, writing support, and analytic support. You will serve as principal point of representation and liaison with external constituencies (client project managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts) on operational matters and provide day-to-day professional guidance and leadership as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the program manager in managing contract performance.

  • Manages and oversees work performance task orders or manages a portion of a larger task either involving multiple tasks and groups of personnel on a project.

  • Organizes, directs, and coordinates the initial planning and production of contract support activities.

  • Provides technical and instructional design guidance in performance of project teams’ work.

  • Responsible for overall management of various training projects to ensure all aspects run smoothly, tasks orders are completed on time, client expectations are being met, and all deliverables are being met within scope or timeframe.

  • Ensures that quality processes are developed in conjunction with client requirements.

  • Conducts initial quality assurance testing for deliveries, monitors government feedback, adjusts work processes according to direction from clients.

  • Conducts periodic reviews of deliveries to assure that all projects are meeting expected quality and timing standards at all phases and milestones of the projects.

  • Advises the client project manager on the status of overall task order execution.

  • May prepare and deliver status reports to clients.

  • May prepare and present briefings to overall program level decision makers.

  • Builds a client relationship with a focus on meeting contract requirements, being transparent, and driving continuous improvement.

  • Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.

  • Coordinates training and quality activities to keep staff current on program and performance objectives.

  • Serves as an expert on program contract scope, operations, and management aspects of the program.

  • Responds to and resolve client inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely fashion.

  • Builds a team culture driven by the understanding of the team’s purpose, a desire to help the customer and opportunities for ongoing learning and development.

Basic Qualifications

The Training Project Manager will:

  • Have 8+ years of experience in training and instructional design project management;

  • 1 year of experience in the full life cycle of the instructional systems design (ISD) process with experience in leading the development of engaging, experiential instructor-led training as well as web-based solutions that are Section 508-compliant and SCORM-conformant; and

Additional Skills and Responsibilities

  • Have strong knowledge and experience applying adult learning principles;

  • Ability to provide direction and positive leadership

  • Ability to understand, explain, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and regulations

  • Excellent organizational, written, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to execute many complex tasks simultaneously

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions

  • Ability to resolve issues; manage resources; interface with client representatives regarding contract objectives

  • Competent understanding of project management methodology including the ability to manage risk, develop detailed work plans and specifications, and run team meetings

  • Ability to receive client feedback and research and respond thoroughly and quickly with team support

  • Detailed knowledge of Section 508 requirements as applied to course design and development

  • Proven team-building skills

  • Strong MS Office skills

  • Strong focus on details and driving results

  • Ability to successfully complete initial and ongoing training and keep current and proficient on knowledge

  • Superior use of the English language including the ability to read, comprehend, and communicate information and ideas effectively

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$85,153.00 - $144,760.00
