Team Lead- Korean Green Energy Partnership
The Team Leader plays a crucial role in the success of a seven-year program set to begin in 2023, which will involve overseeing the delivery of programming in Korea. This role is based in SEOUL, South Korea.
What you will do:
Be responsible for meeting project objectives, leading the team to deliver results, and ensuring that all objectives, deliverables, and outcomes are met while adhering to EU operational, commercial, and reporting requirements.
Manage and oversee a team of long-term and short-term experts and local staff and act as a representative for the Green Partnership Project to government officials, stakeholders, and partner organizations.
What you will need:
Expertise in at least three of the following areas: green diplomacy, environmental policy, energy transition, circular economy, and bilateral cooperation, as well as the ability to develop and execute a vision for the project.
Experience working internationally, with a preference for experience in Korea, and managing large donor portfolios.
Established connections and knowledge of processes with governments, civil society organizations, and private sector organizations in the EU and/or Korea.
Experience as a team leader and leading teams to successful outcomes.
Familiarity with the Korean policy context and experience working in Korea.
Fluency in English. Proficiency in Korean preferred.
Bachelor's degree

A Master's degree in a related field is preferred.
Cultural and political sensitivity and awareness of Korean customs and ways of working.
