Systems Engineer- Secret Clearance

ICF seeks a Systems Engineer with Secret clearance to support a Department of Homeland Security client that serves research and development arm of the Department as it fulfills its national security mission.

The Systems Engineer troubleshoots and resolves configuration and application issues on Microsoft Windows client systems (Windows 10 and above) in Enterprise and stand- alone environments; applies patches and scans stand-alone workstations.  The Systems Engineer also provides technical support to solutioning engineer and engineering-related projects.  The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have the inherent interest to continue learning new technologies to solve problems.

Location: Egg Harbor Township, NJ

As a Systems Engineer, you will:

  • Enforce configuration and security standards. Analyze and modify Active Directory Group Policy Objects and User and Computer Objects. Support mobile solutions, such as, but not limited to Microsoft Exchange (Active Sync), Office 365, Mobile Device Management (MDM) such as AirWatch, JAMF Casper, with alternative token technology (ie-Derived Credentials) Support messaging chat systems such as Skype for Business and Microsoft Teams.

  • Work with collaboration software such as SharePoint, application-based firewall and proxy server(s), and operating systems.

  • Deploy and harden Windows Server 2012 R2 & 2016 Standard and Data Center, including Apple OSX, IOS platforms(s). Implement, administer, and deploy leading security tools including but not limited to: McAfee Enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), McAfee Endpoint Security, Symantec Endpoint Protection, McAfee ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO), McAfee Data Loss Prevention (DLP), McAfee Host Intrusion Prevention (HIP), Carbon Black (Cb), NESSUS Security Center, Privilege Access Management (PAM).

  • Apply knowledge and experience with Azure Active Directory, LDAP, DB, UNIX/Linux, AWS.

  • Work in tandem with Cybersecurity and O&M stakeholders to solution, resolve and drive technology and IT modernization initiatives

  • Communicate with clients and business partners aspects of implementation at the technical and/or functional level, appropriate for the situation.

  • Prepare written reports identifying issues and recommendations to remedy issues.

What you will need:     

  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) or Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certifications

  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or CompTIA Security+ certifications and 15 years or more performing Systems Engineering work.

  • Experience with secure mobile solutions, such as, but not limited to: Microsoft Exchange (Active Sync), Office 365, Mobile Device Management (MDM) such as AirWatch with derived credentials, JAMF Casper.

  • Experience with messaging systems such as Skype for Business, collaboration software such as SharePoint, application- based firewall and proxy server(s), and operating system.

  • Experience managing a Virtual Private Network (VPN) solution such as Cisco AnyConnect; managing Virtualization solutions such as VMware 6.0+ & Microsoft Hyper-V; deploying & hardening Windows Server 2012 R2 & 2016 Standard and Data Center, Apple OSX, IOS platforms(s); cloud service implementations with a focus on AWS and Azure and implementing cloud automation such as Azure workflow and/or AWS application deployment.

  • Experience deploying and using leading security tools, and experience deploying and hardening RedHat Linux 6.0+, implementing and managing RedHat Satellite, Veritas NetBackup, Dell Compellent SAN and/or DAS.

  • Expert understanding of DHS Policies and best practices in the areas of least privilege and separation of roles.

  • Expert experience in supporting Windows Active Directory, including AD group policy deployment, and GPO

  • Extensive knowledge of Web Access Management (WAM) and Enterprise Directory concepts (such as LDAP, Virtual Directory, Meta Directory, and LDIF).

  • Experience with configuring deploying and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory Federation Services (AD FS) for cloud applications.

  • Expert knowledge of Web Access Management (WAM) and Enterprise Directory concepts (such as LDAP, Virtual Directory, Meta Directory, and LDIF).

  • Expert knowledge in the areas of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Lync, SQL, and Certification Authority.

  • Expert understanding of Context-based Authentication and Risk-based Authentication solutions, particularly their effective use on mobile and unmanaged devices accessing cloud applications.

  •  U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position). Secret clearance required.
