Sr. Energy Analyst

Senior Energy Analyst

Are you interested in providing Program support for ICF’s Utility Programs and Services Division?

You will contribute to the development and delivery of leading-edge energy conservation, demand response, and decarbonization programs. As part of the Mid-Atlantic team and work with a cross-functional group of program management, outreach, technical, and marketing personnel as well as actively lead project delivery, strategy, and market development efforts.

What will you be doing?

  • Overall management of utility program performance including financial management, contract deliverables, strategic planning, quality assurance, and operational efficiencies
  • Manage program forecasts, goals, and budgets along with providing regulatory support
  • Regular client-facing engagement to report on performance metrics of the programs while maintaining strong client relationships
  • Assist in preparation and delivery of internal and client presentations 
  • Liaise with IT, Marketing, Reporting, and Customer Care teams (including coordinating, tracking, and resolving action items)
  • Establish and maintain relationships and partnerships with major local subcontractors and trade allies to support their participation in utility programs
  • Manage performance of partners and subcontractors that are supporting the programs
  • Coordinate the outreach strategy with individuals that are conducting promotion of the utility programs
  • Continual engagement with the Maryland Public Service Commission regulatory environment
  • Analyze market trends and technologies to enhance deployment opportunities for program advancement
  • Ensure key performance indicators are met by continuous review of operational success 
  • Document operational processes and implement streamlined processes where applicable 
  • Other duties as required to support our work nationally and provide direct support to division leadership as needed

What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Concentration in Engineering or Energy Resources, Sciences, Sustainability, Public Policy, Business, or related field) and
  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and exercise independent judgment 
  • Ability to support multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously
  • Ability to carry out oral and written instructions thoroughly 
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent written and oral communications 
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information 
  • Interpersonal skills including the ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors  
  • Utility program implementation experience  
  • Quantitative/analytical skills including the ability to pull large data sets and manipulate them as requested  
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel)
