ICF’s IT Modernization division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial technology department seeking a .NET Software Engineer to support upcoming needs with our federal customers.

As we continue to expand our services and to support this growth, we are looking for Software Engineers to join our Digital Modernization Division (DMD). In addition, we provide technical assistance services to US Civilian Federal Agencies and their partners, such as the Department of Health and Human Services, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
We are looking for a .NET Engineer passionate about helping large government agencies modernize and transform through pragmatic enterprise strategies. The projects and services supporting the CDC meet the agency's Data Modernization Initiative (DMI) objectives. The software developer will participate in the full lifecycle development of modifications to large, complex, mission-critical enterprise applications, work with technical leads to develop and enforce standards, collaborate with a 4–6-person development team, and follow solutions as they are developed through production deployment.
Participate in the full software development life cycle (design, development, testing, deployment, and documentation.
Provide technical leadership
Contribute towards design and overall architecture of applications
Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of applications
Adhere to coding standards and best practices
Peer review team members’ development and share constructive criticism
Work as part of an agile scrum team and deliver in a timely manner
Learn and adopt new technologies in a short period as required
Participate in scrum ceremonies, including backlog refinement, story point estimation, and sprint planning
Working with multiple teams like Network/security/Dev teams in an Agile environment
2+ years of proven software development experience
2+ years of experience with .NET languages
1+ years of hands-on experience with Angular 12. x, HTML5, and CSS
1+ years of experience with Message Bus (i.e., Kafka)
1+ years of hands-on experience deploying applications on IIS or similar application servers
1+ years of experience with SQL (tables, views, stored procs, functions, indexing, query optimization, DacPac)
Ability to obtain U.S. government public trust clearance.
Due to Federal contract requirements, must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
BS or MS in Computer Science highly preferred
Experience in creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Azure, Dev Sec Ops, Kubernetes, Microservices, and React
A demonstrated understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), including RESTful Service frameworks (Web API)
Familiarity with working in an Agile Scrum environment

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:
$68,325.00 - $116,152.00
