Software Application Engineering Manager
Our Software Application Engineering Manager works with a multi-disciplinary team to perform the hands-on software engineering work that helps the federal government modernize its IT capabilities. As a technical manager, you have the expertise to shape the requirements and designs of the IT features that will improve the processes and resiliency of our client’s operations and infrastructure. As a people manager, you are mentor and leader, guiding our diverse team members through the work’s complexities. These programs span across various domains including health, national security, transportation, social programs, disaster recovery, and law enforcement. This variety provides our Lead Software Engineer with purposeful work and opportunities for professional growth.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline)
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the IT field focusing on software development projects
- 5 or more years experience with Java
- 2 or more years experience with multi-schema, Oracle databases
- 1 or more years experience coaching and leading software teams
- Experience with BitBucket and Jenkins
- Basic understanding of chemical and toxicology data
- Certified Scrum Master
