Senior UX/UI Designer – Remote

We seek a Senior UX/UI Designer to apply user-centered principles to the design and creation of digital products in the energy efficiency and beneficial electrification space. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in the development of cutting-edge digital products that directly support beneficial electrification, energy decarbonization, energy equity, and community health in a user-centric way.
As a Senior UX/UI Designer you will be a key member of our product trio along with our engineering lead and product manager. You will collaborate with other members of Agile product teams to research, design, validate, and deliver experiences that are useful, usable, beautiful, and intuitive.

What you will be doing:
Work with Senior Product Manager and engineering leads to craft and implement a UX vision and strategy that aligns with business objectives.
Build empathy with users by consuming existing user and stakeholder insights and leading participatory design to validate your proposed UX/UI designs.
Create wireframes and prototypes to describe, communicate, and test proposed user experiences.
Develop CSS and HTML as needed to ensure front end development aligns with design specifications.
Work with development and quality assurance resources to ensure designed user experiences are implemented successfully.
Contribute to client and stakeholder management by communicating the design process, advocating for users, and clarifying the rationale of design decisions.
Manage individual time and tasks to deliver great designs efficiently and on-time as part of a broader team.
Use an Agile UX process to iterate on user experience and improve user outcomes.
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications):
Bachelor's degree in design, illustration, human computer interaction, information system, or related field.
4+ years of applied UX/UI design experience in the software or related industry.
8+ years of applied UX/UI design experience in the software or related industry.
What we would like you to have:
Able to provide a portfolio demonstrating a strong design process and deliverables including UX, UI, interaction, visual, and/or content designs applied to software development.
Ability to create and work with design systems, style guides, content guides, and proven industry patterns to deliver UX as part of a broader consistent ecosystem.
Create designs that are easy to use, accessible, and visually appealing to the user.
Expert skills with creative tools such as Figma, Miro, and Adobe Creative Suite applications.
High intermediate to expert skills in HTML and CSS
Experience designing digital products for energy industry clients

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is
$100,034.00 - $170,058.00
