Senior Researcher - Energy Policy
We are looking for Senior Researchers to join our growing energy policy team. Primarily serving BEIS, you will build on and expand our portfolio of research and evaluation work in the areas of low-carbon heating, green finance, electricity networks and markets, domestic and non-domestic energy efficiency, and fuel poverty. Positions are available in our London, Birmingham, Plymouth, or Leeds offices.

Your main responsibilities will be to:
Win and deliver energy policy evaluations
Manage evaluation teams
Communicate the results of our work to Government and external audiences
Pursue business development opportunities and build networks and partnerships
Contribute to our internal community of practice on evaluation
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
Degree, Master’s degree or PhD in relevant discipline
At least 5 years’ experience of evaluating public policies and programmes on behalf of UK Government departments, preferably for BEIS/DECC and/or Ofgem
Leadership of research projects in the field of energy policy
Strong social research skills, including familiarity with qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis methods
Excellent team-working skills
Familiarity with the Magenta Book and Green Book, and Government research and publication protocols
A proven ability to communicate clearly in written English
Advanced computer user skills (Microsoft applications)
Business development experience, including contributing to proposals or grant applications, would be an advantage
