Come join our team as a Senior Manager to lead our growing energy efficiency and Demand-Side Management portfolio of work with utilities in Texas. You will be responsible for developing strategy, bringing innovation and new offerings to the portfolio, nurturing client relationships, managing a diverse team, and ensuring operational excellence and client satisfaction. Supporting clean energy programs and under-served communities throughout Texas, you will build and manage relationships with manufacturers, retailers, trades, and key community stakeholders aligned with energy efficiency products and services. You’ll mentor junior team members and design/implement program strategies and plans. Working closely with the client and our nationwide implementation team, you’ll focus on bringing energy efficiency and bill savings to all customers including under-served communities, providing safer, more energy-efficient homes, and ensuring grid stability.

What you will be doing
Serve as the client and portfolio lead for all energy efficiency and DSM contracts with our utility partners in Texas.
Build and cultivate industry relationships, leveraging our national expertise to bring clients best practices and innovations. Partner with our clients to ensure that programs run efficiently and effectively, constantly respond to changing market conditions, and grow our portfolio of programs that will exceed their performance goals and expectations.
Develop and guide strategy and implementation, providing oversight of various functions and teams including IT, marketing/outreach, customer care, admin/operations, and program management, ensuring collaboration and coordination.
Establish milestones and monitor adherence to program plans, schedules, program costs and budgets, and monthly performance forecasting. Identify challenges or issues early and develop or obtain solutions, ensuring continual operational improvements and excellence.
Assist technical and analytics teams to provide guidance and judgement on energy savings calculations, best practices, and ensure QA/QC standards for the program are met
What we need you to have
6+ years of experience developing, designing, or administering successful energy efficiency or demand response programs; or experience managing consulting projects for utilities, state energy offices, state/local governments, and/or regional non-profits
Demonstrated success managing complex cross-functional teams to achieve high levels of production, meet tight deadlines, and deliver compliant quality work products
Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbally, with clients and colleagues at all levels.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
What would be useful
Industry certifications including, but not limited to: BPI, PMP, CEM
Professional affiliations including, but not limited to: AESP, SPEER, TEPRI, ACEEE, ASHRAE, or AEE
Experience working with Low-Income Communities and/or Agencies or other relevant volunteer experience serving on boards or other organizations dedicated to the advancement of clean energy, energy efficiency, and under-served communities.
