Do you have experience in Operations consulting services? ICF is currently seeking a motivated senior professional to join our team of global experts. You should be able demonstrate a strong track record in Operations Improvement consulting, have depth in the relevant IT and hands-on experience managing or working directly with aviation community. Position is based in New York, Boston, Dallas, London or Remote. 

The position will be responsible for leading and delivering to the growth of a business line focused on operations improvement and IT strategy across all business sectors with a concentration on aviation. You will help shape and manage ICF’s offering in the marketplace, identifying and prioritizing target accounts, collecting competitive intelligence and managing capture and proposal processes. Your goal in all business development and delivery will be to maximize the potential impact for all of ICF, including program management, technology & analytics and customer engagement. Maintaining personal relationships with current and future clients will be important to your success.

As a senior leader in ICF’s Aviation division, you will also play an important role inspiring and mentoring staff in all associated offices: Dallas, New York, London or Boston. By modeling collaborative behavior and working side by side with junior staff, you will strengthen ICF’s capabilities and grow future leaders. The Aviation Leadership Team will look to you as a partner to drive ICF’s and Aviation’s strategy into the business.

What would you do?

Consulting Delivery:

  • Develop client commercial strategies and manage their implementation, including Operations diagnostics, procurements and implementation of programs for IT strategy and operations improvement;
  • Structure and manage assignments, including outlining and drafting key deliverables, defining analyses, directing teams of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and taking full responsibility for delivering client-ready final work product;
  • Participate as a member of a consulting team on client projects, which typically include developing client operational strategies and managing their implementation of business plans;
  • Develop necessary tools, templates and other IP to sell and deliver assignments;
  • Take responsibility for client satisfaction, including follow-up and continuous improvement.

Business Development and Thought Leadership:

  • Leverage existing client relationships with MROs, airlines, manufacturers, airports, investors and the aviation community at large to augment ICF business development activities and provide solutions;
  • Form new business relationships with industry stakeholders to grow ICF’s Aviation and Operations Improvement business;
  • Define and follow disciplined account development processes, participating in pipeline strategy, account strategy and capture management process;
  • Structure and draft proposals, including written materials, pricing and presentations; practice for and win shortlist interviews;
  • Develop successful marketing partnership to amplify impact on the market;
  • Develop strategies to advance ICF’s capabilities and IP in Operations Improvement and MRO, including advanced data analytics and integration of new data sources;
  • Speak regularly at industry events and in the relevant media; maintain a profile on LinkedIn that supports ICF’s business development objectives.

People Leadership:

  • Serve as the senior figure in ICF’s offices, projecting ICF’s values, culture and expectations;
  • Oversee and manage a team of mid- and junior-level consultants as agreed;
  • Take responsibility for mentoring, training and developing junior- and mid-level staff;
  • Support implementation of Aviation and ICF strategic objectives.

What do you bring?

Required Qualifications:

  • 15+ years demonstrated experience in MRO strategy, operations, IT and management;
  • Successful track record as a consultant, including history of consistent annual sales of $1M+ and successful client delivery;
  • Bachelor's Degree in an Economics, Business, Mathematics, Engineering or Aerospace Engineering;
  • Deep understanding of MRO, operations and IT, including current developments among the leading systems and the impacts of new e-enabled aircraft;
  • Experience with quantitative model development and analysis;
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop junior/mid-level staff members with strong interpersonal relationship building skills;
  • Collaborative, positive attitude and management experience in a team-oriented workplace;
  • Ability to travel (>50%)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in external-facing roles at airlines, lessors and manufacturers is a plus
  • Public profile as thought leader is a plus
