Senior Java Developer - Remote

ICF’s IT Modernization division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department, seeking a Senior Java Developer to support upcoming needs with our federal customers.
The ideal candidate will lead as part of a team of java developers with 7+ years of development experience, specifically in Java development. We are looking for individuals with experience in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise applications. You will create user information solutions by developing; implementing and maintaining Java based components and interfaces. You will be responsible for Java application development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
Performs analysis, design, coding, and testing for system software components, databases, and applications possessing a wide range of capabilities (e.g., engineering, business, and records management functions) to advance proofs-of-concept, reusable frameworks, and reference applications/architectures.
Develops requirements and technical specifications; prepares program and customer-level documentation.
Analyzes existing systems for documenting as-is system analysis and make recommendations to future designs.
Transitions system development from business to system use cases.
Ability to work independently and within teams.
Designs, develops and implements web-based java applications to support business requirements and projects
Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
Profound insights into Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory management, Transaction management, etc)
Experience with test-driven development.
Design and develop features and functionality
Proficient with APIs and service-oriented architectures
Object oriented analysis and design using common design patterns
Expert knowledge of established software development life cycles
Ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines.
Resolves technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation.
Expert knowledge of web-based systems programming and development.
Experience in working with agile methodology and tools.
A team player who is effective working independently and collaboratively.
Ability to learn and use new technologies.
Expert experience in trouble shooting system issues.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline.
7+ years of experience developing web-based enterprise solutions: front-end, mid-tier, and server/database.
Expert use of Eclipse IDE (or equivalent).
Expertise in: Accessible UI design, responsive design, aspect-oriented programming, containers, microservices.
Experience with configuration, deployment, and tuning of application servers.
Possess strong written communication skills.
Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance.
US Citizens required due to federal contract requirements.
Cloud development: AWS, Azure, CloudFoundry.
Tomcat / Apache/ WebSphere / Informatica.
National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)
Expert experience with:
Oracle 12c and 19c
Data visualization (D3.js and similar)
Apache Tomcat & Camel
WebSphere and Process Server
Message Queuing and patterns associated with messaging
Exceptional verbal and writing skills, including editing and proofreading skills.
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support.
Solid oral communication skills, including experience with developing and delivering presentations.
Problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing, or potential problems and recommend solutions.
