Senior Environmental Planner

To support our growth, our Irvine and Los Angeles offices are seeking a Environmental Planners to contribute to the development of innovative, accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services, typically working on multiple projects with team members at all levels. While based in Irvine, this position would also support projects within the greater Southern California line of business. Environmental Planners at ICF have an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, build their project management skills, interact with experts and clients in the field, while building content knowledge and consulting skills. You would be working in a dynamic work environment under the guidance of skilled project managers, technical experts, and other senior staff.
Our Southern California offices provide environmental planning, transportation, water, and energy-related professional services to public and private clients. Currently, staff in the region work on a variety of projects, including environmental impact analyses in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and permitting and environmental compliance in accordance with agency regulations.
What You Must Have
Bachelor's Degree in natural or physical science, public policy, economics, environmental management, or related subjects.
3-5 years of related experience.
Experience working with compliance documents related to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA), and/or the Endangered Species Act (ESA)
Excellent written and oral communications skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including experience with developing and maintaining project schedules.
Ability to prioritize and multi-task under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to function independently and proactively
Interest in task and project management, proposal support, and proven experience efficiently organizing project resources.
