Senior Enterprise Architect
The Senior Enterprise Architect is a recognized technical expert in information technology systems. Uses expertise in business management practices and industry requirements in order to provide highly technical and for specialized guidance concerning IT solutions to complex information processing problems related to the subject matter field. Performs analysis and studies, prepares reports and gives presentations; works independently. Assists in the development of strategies and plans for the successful completion of large complex projects. Has direct specialized experience in the implementation of enterprise mission critical components that represent an investment of over $5 million within complex government/commercial organizations. Experienced with applied engineering methodologies and principles to conduct major enterprise-wide business process evaluation and modernization projects. Develops plans, manages, and provides technical oversight for the entire systems development lifecycle including but not limited to, corporate strategic planning; analysis and design; software development; cost and schedule estimation; use of accepted software engineering practices; design techniques and tools; and review of legacy systems. Coordinates with the Program Manager to ensure problem resolution and customer satisfaction.
Assisting in rectifying issues and improving service in faltering/failing projects;
Conducting Design Workshops with multiple stakeholders;
Designing, implementing and maintaining procedures relating to service catalog and/or service level management activities;
Supporting the development and delivery of proposals and/or Rough Orders Magnitude (ROMs) for initiatives as required;
Providing reporting and feedback to senior management as required;
Working to develop strategic plans for architecture, governance, engineering and integration;
Ensure the data foundation to be implemented are in synchronization with the needs of the business organization;
Systems analysis necessary to define and document the As-Is Architecture;
Guides architecture analysis to provide the government with data to support trade-offs between competing demands;
Security architecture and engineering support;
10 years working experience;
planning, design, and systems engineering work necessary to build and portray the To-Be Architecture;
Expected work activities the Enterprise Architect position would be required to support include;
Expertise and support for network architecture and engineering.
10 years working experience;
EA Certification required Federal Enterprise Architecture Certification (FEAC). The open group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) or other industry accepted EA certification.
Experience with defining As-Is and To-Be Architectures and well as cloud platforms.
Experience with establishing integrated program schedules, engineering reviews, and Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM);
Experience with characterizing data in an Enterprise Information Technology system;
Experience with vendor product evaluation and recommendations for possible adoption;
8 years of experience with enterprise architecture;
Must be comfortable interacting with key leadership, be articulate, and be proactive;
Knowledge of programming and coding languages necessary to affect task requirements;
Experience with multi-domain command and control, cross-domain, and open mission systems;
ITIL Foundations certification;
Experience with developing engineering, technology enhancements, and reliability recommendations;
5+ years of experience with systems engineering.
Master’s degree in information technology or related field of study.
