Senior Energy Efficiency Outreach Associate - Los Angeles or Irvine
Senior Energy Efficiency Outreach Associate Location: Southern California (based out of our Irvine or Los Angeles offices)
Job Description:
To support the growth of our residential Energy Efficiency practice, we seek outstanding individuals to provide strategic customer outreach services to multifamily property owners, property managers and mechanical, electrical, and plumbing contractors to identify energy efficiency opportunities and facilitate participation in energy efficiency programs. This position is exclusively focused on the Southern California region
Key Responsibilities
Work as part of the energy efficiency team ensuring that the implementation of client sponsored energy efficiency retrofit projects are successfully executed
Lead development and execution of strategic account outreach plans
Work closely with marketing team to ensure marketing efforts support outreach activities
Mentor and guide activities of junior outreach associates
Develop and maintain strategic relationships with assigned market partners, primarily property owners, property management firms and contracting trades, throughout the territory
Meet with key decision makers responsible for making facility upgrades to large multifamily properties to drive program participation
Manage day to day activity and schedules to ensure maximum value is provided to the clients
Communicate to both technical trade allies and non-technical audiences.
Conduct and help facilitate market partner training on programmatic and technical best practices
Contribute to the evolution of program strategies and the design of program features, services, and marketing campaigns
Manage assigned accounts in CRM database and maintain accurate tracking and forecasting of project construction status
Prepare status reports to accurately describe activities in the field and to monitor progress towards program goals on customer/contractor participation and the completion of eligible projects
Coordinate with or follow up on program Quality Assurance activities as appropriate
Travel by car throughout the assigned geography
To be successful, you will need: -
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
3 years of work experience
Demonstrated experience with MS Office, including MS Excel and MS Word
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce
Strong communication skills
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining professional relationships
Valid driver’s license and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
Preferred Skills/Experience
Knowledge of energy efficiency and California policies governing residential and small commercial energy programs
Knowledge of common electric and gas equipment used in the multifamily sector including hot water boilers, HVAC systems, interior/exterior lighting, pool pumps/boiler, etc.
Effective communication skills with the ability to guide and influence customers to opt for cost-effective energy efficiency solutions
