ICF Next seeks a Senior Director, Integrated Communications with a preference for location in Chicago, Minneapolis or New York City, but may be open for the right candidate. The Senior Director plays a key role leading team executing programs that drive cultural relevance and build brand purpose for national food, beverage and travel/hospitality brands.
As a Senior Director, you will:
Lead integrated communications teams with a passion for inspiring work that earns attention, serving as key day-to-day client contact for consumer accounts
Establish and grow strong, trusted relationships with key marketing, communications clients through strategic counsel grounded in an understanding of their business challenges and opportunities
Contribute to organic growth across accounts and support new business for the agency
Help create and entrepreneurial team environment that encourages proactive strategic and creative problem solving and a thirst for supporting one another in delivering the best possible work
Maintain financial responsibility, including on forecasting and profitability on accounts
Effectively manage day-to-day account team work, providing oversight across ideation, execution, and client service
Drive fresh thinking and new ways of solving challenges for your teams and clients
Manage and mentor mid-level and emerging leaders, guiding career growth and coaching to further elevate strategies, deliver flawless execution and grow business
Partner with manager and relevant discipline leaders (e.g. Creative, Strategy, Analytics, Social Media, Corporate Affairs) to support opportunities that drive the business and the agency forward
As a Senior Director, you will have:
A Bachelor’s degree, preferably in journalism, public relations or communications and 12+ years of experience in multi-faceted public relations and integrated communications roles
Experience driving award-winning consumer brand marketing programs
An understanding of the earned landscape and experience developing integrated communications strategies (PR, Social, Influencer) that can propel programs that drive earned coverage and conversation
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a passion for compelling storytelling
Leadership instincts and the ability to identify and elevate great work from mid-level and junior team members
Ability to balance ‘tried and true’ approaches with thinking outside of the box and pushing clients and teams to take risks
Ability to travel as required
