Senior Director, Enterprise Solutions
ICF is seeking an experienced Sr. Director, Enterprise Solutions for opportunities based at our customer sites around the DC Metro Area in support of initiatives related to digital transformation, modernization and enterprise strategy. This role provides support to both our growth team along with helping lead customer-facing program technology teams, helping ICF to capture and successfully execute high-value, high-visibility work across customer domains.
This role is a high visibility technology leadership position requiring an extensive background and operational experience across architectural domains (enterprise, solution, business, data, etc.), major products and frameworks, industry standards, and implementation experience with leading COTS products. This position typically requires leading architectural artifact and transitional roadmap development, system design and network engineering, and software prototyping efforts along with mentoring both functional and technical team members in a dynamic client- and business partner-facing atmosphere.
Engages with customer organizations at multiple levels, manages key stakeholders and fosters key relationships to develop a deep and thorough understanding of the enterprise
Collaborates with customer leadership to define organizational technology vision and define a strategy to achieve it, as well as producing roadmaps to drive modernization efforts by applying a standard methodology of IT landscape specifications, technical assessments, pilots and proof of concepts, strategic technology injection, and system development and integration efforts
Implements and manages the architecture definition and realization activity using formal delivery standards
Leads and performs Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) based on industry and government standards
Serves as the primary overarching technical point of contact, responsible for leading the architecture and implementation efforts
Oversees vendor interactions and the iterative evaluation of products, services, platform(s) and other solutions along the roadmap while ensuring that organizational technical milestones and objectives are met along the program schedule
Develops effective governance frameworks and processes, leads technical resources, monitors and mitigates risk, quality, security, adoption, etc., and ensures success in the execution of these areas
Participates in and leads formal technology evaluations, technology proofs of concept, client demonstrations and various solutioning and educational presentations to assert vetting and client buy-in
Coordinates and collaborates in developing technical requirements with executive leadership, business stakeholders, various technical teams, contractors, and partners
Serves as the technical strategy champion, resolving program issues, answering questions, and driving adoption of proposed solutions for leadership, staff, and contractors
Authors required documentation, briefings, and technical standards for the architectural roadmap
Leads the architecture cadre and additional members of the technical leadership and other program teams
BS in information systems or computer science or related engineering field
10+ years of technology leadership roles and participation in major enterprise scope programs with COTS/custom development and integration projects
4+ years of experience in enterprise-scope architectural engagements, technical leadership at the program level, along with a successful track record of delivery
Experience with prominent cloud, service-oriented, platform-based application technologies with design and system development accomplishments
Excellent oral communications, thought leadership and formal presentation skills
Experience with delivering architecture using industry methodologies such as TOGAF, FEAF, etc.
Experience with SOA/Microservices, REST APIs, Data Architecture, Java EE, .NET
Experience using and integrating PaaS/SaaS and related technologies such as ServiceNow, Appian, MuleSoft, Okta, Tableau, Salesforce, and Box or similar
Working knowledge of major solution architecture paradigms (n-tier, microservices, containers, serverless, etc.) and experience deploying these solutions
Experience leveraging IaaS technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP) to deploy enterprise solutions for customers across domains
Working knowledge of one or more enterprise architecture modeling tools such as (Sparx EA, Mega, Visual Paradigm, etc.) is a plus
Desired Certifications: PMP, CSM, TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect
