As our next Senior Communications Specialist, you’ll research, plan, develop, and implement innovative communications strategies and behavior change marketing campaigns that help our clients in the Atlanta, GA region reach their goals. If you have prior experience developing outreach or marketing campaigns around smart mobility, transportation demand management and sustainable transportation choices, we'd love to talk to you.
As Senior Communications Specialist, you will:
Develop and implement integrated marketing plans and strategies to meet client objectives
Manage and cultivate positive client relations through regular communication and collaboration
Collaborate with our creative team, internal program team, and clients to develop marketing materials
Oversee writers, graphic designers, production artists, digital specialists, event planners, and outreach experts on specific tasks and initiatives to support client objectives
Possess strong interpersonal skills; the ability to pick up a phone and call or communicate with high priority stakeholders/partners
Support our clients in adapting complex concepts and initiatives into engaging and effective communications strategies.
Provide high attention to detail; manage multiple ongoing activities using project management tools such as Trello, Teams, SharePoint, and other tools
Conduct and facilitate research and support in developing strategic plans and presentations
Support planning and executing events, meetings, and workshops
Lead presentations, facilitate meetings and establish successful client relationships
Demonstrate a growth mindset, supporting business development opportunities to grow ICF’s business in transportation marketing
Have strong understanding of marketing automation platforms, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud
As Senior Communications Specialist, you will have:
Bachelor's degree, required (e.g., communications, marketing, public relations, or advertising)
8 + years of professional marketing communications and client management experience, preferably in a consulting or agency environment
Knowledge of federal, state and local transportation industry and key players, particularly in the Atlanta, GA region
Knowledge of traditional and social media environments; understanding of various communication channels (print, social, digital, paid media, events/outreach, etc.)
Strong team orientation with a focus on collaboration
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
Creative thinker with innovative approach to problem solving
Knowledge of marketing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
Job Location(s): This role will initially be 100% remote through at least September 2021, and then will be based in our Atlanta, GA location with option for occasional telework.
