Senior Business Analyst

ICF is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support a large, strategy and business support services contract. Join our team and help us inform IT investment decisions and develop and manage architectural targets and standards for our client. If you are looking for a hands-on opportunity and want to put your business analysis and project management skills to use, this role may be for you.

This position is 100% remote.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Leading efforts for highly complex projects and moderate to highly complex programs;

  • Formulating and defining strategies, business processes, and systems scope and objectives for programs and projects through research and fact-finding activities combined with an expert understanding of business process analysis and requirements management practices and principles;

  • Recommending and applying strategic thinking, process improvement, and re-engineering methodologies and principles to process improvement programs and projects by proposing, completing, and analyzing business, data, hybrid enterprise models;

  • Identifying best practices, documenting and assessing performance measurements, and identifying business and technology solutions to streamline processes;

  • Leading group facilitation sessions, interviews, training, and other activities to gather requirements from stakeholders;

  • Providing direction and strategic vision to business analysis framework improvement programs by assessing and recommending all business analysis related disciplines;

  • Eliciting and managing business and systems level requirements for projects;

  • Employing industry standard tools to manage requirements, perform configuration management, and develop models to support requirements management and/or business modeling activities;

  • Conducting knowledge transfer of strategic plans, scope, requirements, and other analyses to program and project teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions to client areas;

  • Applying portfolio management concepts including business-IT alignment, prioritization, market research, business cases development, and project costing techniques for moderate to highly complex projects; and

  • Ensuring recommended/delivered solution(s) meet business needs for programs, projects, and sub-projects as assigned.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or four years of work experience in lieu of a degree

  • US Citizenship (required by federal government).

  • 7+ years of work experience

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Master’s degree computer science, information systems, or business management.

  • Mastery in independently applying business analysis on moderately to highly complex projects; strategic thinking; scoping; requirements elicitation; business process modeling; requirements management; and feasibility and cost benefit analysis.

  • Ability to mature business analysis disciplines as a whole.

  • Strong communication, facilitation, interview, formal document writing, and presentation skills.

  • Advanced knowledge of SDLC methodology and Unified Modeling Language.

  • Advanced proficiency in analytical, project planning, negotiating, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral).

  • Ability to perform cost-benefit analysis, trending, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Ability to exhibit technical expertise in multiple business analysis related disciplines.

  • Knowledge of the Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) Program, and/or the Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.

  • Knowledge of the CDM Dynamic and Evolving Federal Enterprise Network Defense (DEFEND).

  • Working understanding of federal IT services models and frameworks to support the project team to meet client requirements.

  • Solid understanding of the commercial IT market for hardware and software.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with senior leadership to set and manage realistic program goals and metrics.

  • Experience using Tableau, Power Apps, Azure DevOps, Salesforce, Appian, and ServiceNow

  • Ability leading highly complex business analysis efforts.

Professional Experience:

  • Operational experience with program/project metrics tracking and reporting.

  • Exceptional verbal and writing skills, including editing and proofreading skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Demonstrated customer service orientation and outstanding level of professionalism in providing client support

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final salary for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The salary range for Colorado is -

$73,324.00-$124,651.00
