Senior Aviation Associate - Aircraft

Job Description:

As a Senior Associate in the ICF Aviation team, you will be primarily responsible for delivering consultancy tasks in the aviation practice. The role will involve delivering solutions to problems using a variety of analytical and research techniques to support ICF delivery of large and-mid level projects. As a senior associate, oversight of smaller projects will also be required including the guidance of junior staff, handling day-to-day communication with clients, and project management.

The role is tailored for someone with a background in aviation with projects set to include aircraft lease cash flow forecasting, investment advisory and due diligence, asset valuation, network planning, traffic and revenue forecasting, air service development as well as reviewing and creating business plans for a range of carriers. Experience in analysis and research associated with aircraft finance and leasing, manufacturing and MRO, or sustainability and sustainable aviation fuel would be advantageous.

The role is considered cross-functional within ICF Aviation - supporting teams with delivery to clients across MRO, Airlines, Airports, Tourism organisations, governments, and non-government organisations, where skills and knowledge can lend value through collaboration across teams of specialists.

In time, you will also be expected to contribute to business development efforts by building a network of client relationships, working on proposals, attending conferences, and contributing to ICF’s thought leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate as a member of a consulting team on client-based projects

  • Gather, analyse, and interpret data in support of assessments

  • Write reports and presentations to synthesize and explain analyses

  • Become familiar with transportation industry data sources, analytical methods and current industry issues

  • Support development of intellectual property development projects

  • Support business development efforts, including proposal writing

Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree educated from a reputable institution.

  • 2+ years of work experience in commercial aviation, ideally with exposure to aircraft finance and leasing.

  • Holistic knowledge of the wider aviation industry, including sustainability, is a plus.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word & Excel) required.

  • Exposure or knowledge of other analytical systems a plus but not essential (Python, R, SQL, MATLAB, EViews, etc).

Professional Skills:

  • Working knowledge of aviation and/or aircraft finance and leasing analytical methods.

  • Experience of using industry datasets.

  • Strong oral and written communications skills in English.

  • Works collaboratively with project team and client to achieve established goals.

  • Comfort operating within a flat organizational structure and agile working environment.
