In 2018 the Air Force realigned the cybersecurity mission to Air Combat Command from Air Force Space Command.  As a result, the development of a new Air Force Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Cybersecurity program is being established.  Be part of a brand new Air Force Program that will streamline and improve the security control assessment process across the service.

Who we’re looking for:  An experienced IT Compliance & Governance Specialist SME for the Norfolk/Suffolk, Va. area.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Active security clearance required.
  • Minimum three (3) years’ experience in program management at the MAJCOM, SAF, or HAF level (or other service equivalent)
  • Minimum three (3) years project management experience. Possess an IT-related certification IAW DoDD 8140.01
  • CyberSpace Workforce Management, and DoDD 8570.01-M
  • Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program
  • Two (2) years’ experience in IT asset acquisition and lifecycle management
  • Two (2) years’ experience working in teams with multiple skills and abilities from various backgrounds, including but not limited to: financial experts, management, technical experts, and customers

  • Proficient skills in managing and manipulating inventory data to provide synthesize information, trends, and other analytics required to enable decision-making. Spreadsheets, databases, and Graphical User Interface (GUI) design preferred

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and interpret governance, provide recommendations on solutions to issues
  • Report status of compliance with AFIs and federal law
  • Use software tools, databases or programs to report, building reports, gathering information from across the AF
  • Consolidate responses from across the AF
  • Propose new or modified policies to implement best practices or new policy/guidance directed from DoD CIO, SAF, or some other higher level authority
  • The Contractor shall support the following programs: Identity and Access Management Program (IDAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Computer Security (COMPUSEC), Ports, Protocols, Services Management (PPSM), TEMPEST

  • Provide recommendations to the Government on program management that are sustainable, repeatable, and efficient

  • Provide innovation recommendations where automation may be of benefit

  • Provide technical expertise in support of each program

  • Evaluate change proposals and provide recommendations to the government based on guidance and policy relating to each program

  • Advocate for the program and provide innovative recommendations to automate annual reporting requirements

  • Support audits and reporting requirements for the programs which occur typically annually

  • Participate in conferences, working groups, and committees in support of these programs

  • Distills and presents information to senior leaders using business analysis skills and forecasting ability in providing impacts, implications, recommendations and solutions while using commonly used terms and definitions
