Quality Assurance Lead Automation Tester - Remote

ICF’s Digital Modernization Division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology-driven department seeking a QA-Lead Automation Tester to support a GSA Modernization project. Our team is a leading provider of Digital Transformation services for Federal agencies. Our services focus on enabling agency mission and business transformation using industry-leading and best practices with modern platforms and quality and testing platforms.  We focus on offering a full range of architecture and planning, system implementation, integration, analytics, and O&M for our customers. 

What you’ll be doing

  • Work closely with various technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand complex business processes and define business requirements.
  • Leading, delegating, and analyzing user stories and requirements for validity and feasibility
  • Collaborate closely with other team members and departments
  • Execute all levels of testing (System, Integration, performance, stress, and Regression)
  • Detect, log, and track software defects and inconsistencies
  • Develop test documentation such as use cases, functional specifications, and reports.
  • Maintain and prioritize requirements, test case criteria, priorities and cases
  • Apply quality engineering principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle
  • Provide timely solutions, support and documentation
  • Report bugs and errors to development teams
  • Ability to act as a proxy Product Owner when needed

What you must have:

  • 7+ years’ experience in testing web applications, and or client server/mobile applications
  • 4+ years automation coding experience in Java utilizing Selenium. JMeter, Cucumber, or similar object-oriented language
  • Experience in API and performance testing
  • Defect triage and management utilizing the defect lifecycle
  • Work in concert with help desk to assess incidents that arise on a frequent basis
  • Experience working with geographically distributed Agile Teams
  • Drive QA process improvements
  • 4+ years writing SQLs and validating backend data components
  • Must be US Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust per Federal contract requirements

What we’d like you to have:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter, Cucumber, or similar tool
  • Experience with Java-based applications
  • Experience with the Scaled Agile Framework
  • Strategic perspective and business acumen - Looks toward the broadest possible view of an issue/ challenge; can easily pose future scenarios
  • Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Prior exposure providing testing deliverables within Agile and Scrum methodologies.
  • Experience on US Federal Government Projects is a big plus
  • Jira, Confluence experience a plus
  • Passion and drive for delivering defect-free software
