To support our growth, we are currently seeking Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Inspection Specialists to join our energy efficiency team located in Newark, NJ. The selected candidates will coordinate all quality assurance activities, which include, but may not be limited to, conducting pre- and post- field inspections at residential and multi-family facilities. In addition, they will assist with the development and implementation of QA/QC programs, plans, and procedures. They will also conduct QA investigations of non-conforming program contractors, coordinate corrective actions, and maintain QA records using Sightline.

This position requires experience with utility energy efficiency programs and knowledge of energy efficient technologies associated with residential building systems. Knowledge of energy efficient technologies and practices related to lighting, HVAC systems, smart thermostats, variable frequency drives and overall residential building energy technologies or experience in the building trades is a plus.

  • Experience performing energy audits and energy savings calculations.
  • BPI Analyst certification or HERS Rater certification.
  • Lighting retrofit designs, assessment, and installation.
  • HVAC system assessment, operations, and maintenance.
  • Interacting with home owners, contractors, builders, raters, representatives, and other key stakeholders.
  • Delivering and developing technical trainings for parties listed above.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 3 years of utility, energy efficiency or equivalent trade experience.
  • Experience with one or more of the following: residential or commercial, industrial facility energy use including lighting, motors, HVAC systems and other electrical systems and controls.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check .

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Outlook and Publisher).
