Project Finance Controller

What we are looking for: -

Project Finance Controller

Location: Bengaluru, India

Exp Range - 3-5 Yrs

Essential Functions

  • Project Administration: Validate project setup information and act as liaison between project managers and project setup team.  Review project setup to ensure completed in accordance with ICF’s procedures.  Monitor and assist with timekeeping related issues including late/missing timesheet submissions, processing errors and temporary project code reconciliation. 
  • Account Receivables + Payable: Ensure timely invoice processing in coordination with our AR Team. Work with assigned billing specialist; review and approve client invoices; follow up on collections; and analyze and understand un-billed WIP. Manage project subcontractor invoices, including subcontractor invoice approval; invoice write-up and submission to Accounts Payable.  Partner with Procurement/Sourcing as needed.
  • Billing: Timely Invoice creation and submission for local clients. Hour’s reconciliation and sharing billing input to billing team for global projects.
  • Reporting/Analysis:  Analyze all direct project costs/fee/revenue data; monitor project budgets and progress; and share results with Project Managers to ensure projects achieve financial expectations.  Prepare and effectively review Estimate-At-Complete (EAC) and Estimate-To-Complete (ETC) analyses.
  • Collaboration: Interact with other departments, such as Contracts, Pricing, Accounting, Project Management, and Business Unit Leads regarding project related issues. Maintain open communication with direct management regarding financial results and ensure Project Managers and other senior personnel are aware of risks and opportunities identified during project financial tracking, revenue review, A/R, WIP, etc.
  • Corporate Accounting: Collaboration with local accounting team for statutory audit and SPOC for all queries.
  • Collaboration with the US and Europe & Asia for various functions
  •  Ad-Hoc duties as and when required.

Qualifications/Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Business or related discipline, or equivalent experience in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in a consulting environment
  • Working in an international environment, liaising with overseas colleagues
  • Superior communication and organization
  • Flexible approach to the type/content of workload and hours of work.
  • Experience in Costpoint or Maconomy ERP systems is plus
  • Motivated and ability to work independently
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
