Project Coordinator - REMOTE

ICF is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, multi-faceted consulting company, seeking a full-time Project Manager. This role will be part of our team working in support of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on an evaluation project for the Division of HIV Prevention. A project manager at ICF must be able to provide general oversight on a project by developing and managing a project schedule with many deliverables, working with the client to manage tasks, managing team and client meetings, and ensuring the team has the support needed to accomplish the work. Experience managing research and evaluation projects in the areas of public health, evaluation science, social science, or behavioral science, and/or at CDC is ideal but not required.

*This role can be 100% remote, sitting anywhere within the US.

What you’ll be doing:

ICF’s Public Health Project Managers:

  • Manage tasks across the entire project with the development of a work plan / schedule (prefer Microsoft Project Planner).
  • Gain a general understanding of the work being done across the project to provide appropriate oversight on tasks.
  • Coordinate and manage all meetings with just the internal team and with CDC, which includes scheduling meetings, developing agendas, working with the team to ensure they are ready for meetings, leading meetings, taking notes, sending notes out to appropriate stakeholders, and following up on action items noted in meetings incorporating them into applicable documentation (e.g., work plan).
  • Coordinate and manage the development of deliverables, such as reports (e.g., ensure deadlines are being met, provide quality assurance checks, coordinate with an editor, assist with basic writing support when needed), and conference abstracts and presentations (e.g., lead development of content working with team, coordinate receiving feedback from CDC, update content).
  • Provide oversight and management of the budget and staff
  • Manage relationships with clients
  • Interest in business development

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, public policy, behavioral/social sciences, or related field plus 3+ years of applied social science research and evaluation experience with at least 1 year of management experience
  • Demonstrated success adhering to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards
  • Demonstrated success with managing clients through emails and meetings
  • Demonstrated experience managing teams and complex tasks with little oversight or direction
  • Experience mentoring of junior team members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential

Desired Requirements:

  • Experience in consulting or other similarly demanding environments
  • Experience working on projects for CDC or other comparable federal agencies
  • PMP

Professional Requirements:

  • Candidates should also be well organized and detail-oriented
  • Be able to work independently to solve problems creatively and work effectively with teams
  • Be able to manage their time across multiple tasks
  • Be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing; and be able to lead and mentor junior staff
