Project Coordinator, International Development

ICF seeks an experienced Project Coordinator to support international population-based survey and evaluation activities. These food security and resilience activities projects are usually funded by USAID and take place in countries targeted by the Global Food Security Strategy and the Development Food Security Activity. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Rockville, Maryland.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the Project Director in their project management responsibilities including:

  • Track and ensure project progress against the various work plan schedules
  • Support timely submission of quality project deliverables to the client
  • Create and support the development of and adherence to project implementation Standard Operating Procedures and processes
  • Maintain safety and security plans
  • Ensure that publication staff are efficiently engaged, documents are appropriately approved, and documents are uploaded to the Development Experience Clearinghouse (DEC)
  • Liaise and communicate with staff across various surveys, field staff, consultants, subcontractors, implementing agencies, and USAID missions
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for program-level meetings, webinars, and other presentations including taking and archiving minutes
  • Support knowledge management efforts by maintaining electronic folders and archives of all project documents, notes, and reports
  • Arrange travel logistics, including visas, and USAID approvals
  • Arrange logistics for domestic and international meetings
  • Ensure Survey Tracker Dashboard is being maintained
  • Provide administrative, programmatic, and technical support, as needed, for example, contributing to the Annual Work Plan (AWP), Semi-annual Report (SAR), and Annual Report 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health communications, international development, or business administration
  • 3+ years’ experience providing support to projects i
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, OneNote)
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience in using project management tools, including Project for the Web, SharePoint, Power BI, WorkZone, Trello, WorkBook
  • Work planning and project monitoring and evaluation
  • Experience working on USAID projects
  • Proficiency in one or more of the following languages: French, Portuguese, or Spanish

Professional Skills:

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and facilitation skills with strong attention to detail
  • Good collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively with a geographically diverse team
  • Comfortable liaising with corporate entities
  • The ability to pivot and respond effectively to changing priorities, and keep track of project deadlines
  • Experience working independently, completing assignments with minimal supervision
  • The ability to balance multiple tasks simultaneously and set strategic priorities
  • Comfortable working in new technologies
