Part-Time HR Compliance Manager
As our Part-Time HR Compliance Manager, you will serve as ICF Canada's HR point of contact and play a crucial role partnering with key stakeholders in support of business objectives. In your role you will advise leaders in elements of Canadian HR compliance through leading the execution of appropriate projects and actions to help the business achieve their objectives. You will also partner and collaborate with key stakeholders and HR colleagues in the delivery and execution of HR initiatives.
The time commitment for this position is an estimated 10-20 hours per week.
What you will be doing:
Serve as ICF Canada's HRBP point of contact and an advisor for human resource matters to include those of a legal and compliance nature.
Partner with the business, HR Leaders and Center of Excellence to lead company-wide Canadian HR initiatives.
Maintain ICF Canada’s AODA compliance.
Leader and member of ICF Canada’s health & safety committee.
Annual review of ICF Canada’s employment contracts.
Responsible for maintaining and updating ICF Canada’s employee handbook and Intranet page.
Point of contact for ICF Canada HR as a subject matter expertise in areas such as compliance, health & safety, laws and regulations, compensation, best practices, benefits, hiring, terminations, learning requirements, etc.
Develop and implement HR-related content in the form of resources, tools, training, etc., to support the evolving needs of the ICF Canadian business.
Understand, integrate, and provide counsel to the business on HR Canada priorities; ensure programs and initiatives are effectively communicated, implemented, and utilized with minimal disruption and strong client partnership.
Promote ICF's Core Values through HR programs and practices, model personal integrity, drive the importance of ethics and compliance throughout the business, and address related issues timely and effectively.
What you will need:
Bachelor's Degree and Certified Human Resources Leader (CHRL) designation.
6+ years of generalist experience, with demonstrated knowledge of HR practices and disciplines, including compensation, benefits, and performance management with an emphasis on HR policy and program implementation, compliance and employee relations.
Strong working knowledge of provincial employment laws (i.e., ON, AB, SK, BC, NS, QC), including ESA, Health & Safety, AODA, etc.
Experience in stakeholder management; ability to be an HR influencer.
Sound business ethics and judgment, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
Proven ability to collaborate with remote teams and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
Outstanding interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization as required.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions in a timely fashion.
Team player with the ability to multi-task and work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment with diverse, geographically dispersed clients.
Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for the senior management team.
Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.
