We’re currently hiring for Partner in our Management Consulting practice within our Business Transformation division.

What we are Looking For:

We seek to hire an experienced consultant to act as a trusted advisor, growth driver and thought leader. This growth-oriented leader will lead and expand the organizational design and change management practice, leading clients and teams focusing on change management, organizational development, process design and culture. Our clients are cross industry, but often lead communications, marketing and government affairs functions. This role will require a good understanding of capabilities and operations in those functions. 

We look for solution-oriented leaders who have strong experience consulting for Fortune 500 companies, solving difficult client issues and working in matrixed client environments. Our leaders focus on growth, client excellence, and team excellence. This means the continuous improvement of themselves and others they lead, and honing a leadership style that builds strong, collaborative teams. This individual should be interested in building business and new opportunities as well as scalable best practices in delivery that significantly impact clients’ ways of working, culture and engagement. 

As a Partner, you will:

Build the Organizational Design and Change Management Practice

  • Develop and lead team to ensure future pipeline of leaders in practice area (current team approximately 5 with opportunity to growth from there)
  • Recruit and mentor team members across the organization as part of continuous focus on development
  • Cultivate best practices in the organizational design and change management disciplines
  • Invest in new ways to learn and lead.
  • Motivate and coach the team to do their best work.
  • Be available to others as a resource for learning and support.
  • Foster high psychological safety and trust on the team.
  • Promote a positive, collaborative environment. 

Business Development

  • Lead business development efforts that drive opportunities for Organizational Design and Change Management solutions to new and existing client work, as part of larger solutions or as standalone offerings with new clients
  • Introduce ICF Next to prospective clients
  • Build strategy for further development and expansion of practice area, anticipating future trends and aligning team talent and capabilities to future opportunities.
  • Lead teams to deliver proposals, RFP responses and personally participate in pitches.
  • Build internal and external relationships to fortify and manage a growth pipeline.
  • Suggest areas of thought leadership and contribute to firm thought leadership efforts.
  • Collaborative growth efforts with Partners and other account leads, plus organic growth with clients should achieve target $2M in revenue each year.

Advise clients and build client relationships

  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought leader to your clients, building trust in all interactions and growing client relationships.
  • Spend time on relationship development with non-active clients and contacts developed across your career.
  • Make strategic recommendations to clients based on understanding business needs, data analysis and subject matter expertise.
  • Lead client interactions including email, calls, workshops and deliverables.
  • Create the strategy and planning for overall practice and specific client accounts.
  • Look for opportunities to offer new solutions to your clients and to suggest new service areas.
  • Oversee team to write, and also personally author, new business proposals and contracts for your clients.
  • Positively manage client expectations and understanding around timeline, work product and scope.

Oversee client accounts related to change management, management counseling and culture

  • Manage multiple workstreams and client engagements to deliver a successful change management and culture practice and portfolio.
  • Oversee the strategy for delivering solutions for adjusting culture, ways of working and engagement for client teams. Workstreams within projects may including: change road mapping, intervention conceptualization, data analysis, playbook and toolkit development, counseling to client senior executives and culture analysis and change strategies.
  • Lead the client team to consolidate research inputs and present recommendations for client’s organizational improvement and/or change management plans (e.g. training, new process, new org design).
  • Approve survey design and interview guides, plus conducting stakeholder interviews. 
  • Lead daily client meetings and presentations, providing real-time, insightful counsel to ensure every client interaction is high value to the client. Appropriately coach and give opportunities to your team and workstream leads for presentation opportunities.
  • Manage project teams handling large-scale transformation including approaches to tracking talent placement and design changes or planning change interventions. 
  • Motivate and guide client teams, ensuring development of client-ready work product and presentations. Comfortably and constructively provide feedback and coaching if needed. 
  • Manage all aspects of account relationship, including resource management, budget and margin management, and organic business development. Review and oversee all account processes to ensure the team is completing work of high quality.
  • Build team morale and development opportunities for internal team.

Required Skills:

  • 15+ years of professional management consulting experience or similar in organizational design, development, change management or people operations.
  • Bachelor’s Degree - preferably in business, communications or related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Master’s Degree - preferred in business, industrial/organizational psychology, communications or related 
  • Demonstrated success working as an external consultant in a client-facing, leadership role is required.
  • Experience in the healthcare consulting sector
  • Experience selling client-facing engagements
  • Experience leading client-facing engagements
  • Experience managing people and developing teams
  • Some experience with financial analysis and/or business planning
  • Strong leader
  • Experience in navigating complex client and/or organizational situations
  • Strong facilitation, presentation and communications skills 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent problem solving
  • High comfort with a fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite, including comfort in PowerPoint and Excel
  • Advanced business acumen and analytical thinking 
  • Ability to travel 20%-30% of the time

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$200,786.00 - $341,336.00
