Outreach and Case Manager
ICF seeks an Outreach and Case Manager to support outreach and intake services for implementing Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP). The Case Manager will provide surge support to process applications, perform community outreach, and contact tenants, landlords, and utility providers and help them move through the ERAP. In this role, Outreach and Case Manager will:
Learn and maintain updated knowledge of program policies and procedures governing federally-funded housing assistance programs
Work closely with program applicants to ensure that applicants fully understand program requirements and progress throughout the case management process
Communicate with applicants by phone, email and in-person to communicate program requirements and application status
Communicate with landlords and utility providers to communicate program and documentation requirements
Coordinate public outreach events and off-site applicant meetings
Gather, scan, and store required program eligibility and other required information in electronic databases and case management systems
Prepare letters to applicants and other required program documents
Ensure all digital files are updated and maintained in strict accordance with established policies and procedures
Provide tracking and reporting information on cases progressing from intake to closeout
Interact with project lead and staff from local program administrators and government staff
Help refine program procedures and processes for implementation
Bachelor's degree; additional 3 years relevant experience may substitute for Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in housing operations
Knowledge of housing, intake and case management services and best practices
Excellent understanding of and ability to analyze tax returns and other income information, leases, utility bills and other program-related documents
Exceptional ability to articulate details in a manner understandable to variety of individuals in-person and over the phone
Ability to work successfully with socio-economic and ethnically diverse applicants
Skilled in multi-tasking, organizing and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment
A flexible schedule that can accommodate some evening or weekend work, or travel as may be required
Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Teams).
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible to handle multiple priorities
