Offshore Wind Lead, Environment & Planning

Fully Remote U.S.

We seek a Principal to oversee our growing offshore wind portfolio nationwide.  ICF provides environmental planning, policy, permitting, and other services to clients. We provide life cycle environmental services support for complex and often controversial projects nationwide, including energy, transportation, and other infrastructure projects and regulatory programs. We manage environmental review processes that include consultation with regulatory agencies; public involvement; analysis of environmental, cultural, safety, socioeconomic, and other impacts, and specification of measures to mitigate adverse impacts.  Our clients include numerous federal, state, and international agencies and private companies.

Due to tremendous growth in the offshore wind market, ICF seeks a Principal to provide environmental services in the offshore wind market. The Principal will focus on strategic growth objectives for ICF’s Offshore Wind Services nationwide and oversee all offshore wind work within ICF’s Environment and Planning Division.  The Principal will drive offshore wind business development as well as assist in various roles on existing projects. The position would be fully remote within the U.S.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in the environmental disciplines, business or related area of study.

  • 15+ years of relevant professional experience including 5 years managing offshore wind projects.

  • 10+ years of experience with the application of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and associated regulations.

Additional Skills & Experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Demonstrated success with business development and client stewardship.

  • Demonstrated success managing multi-million-dollar projects and leading large-scale teams and mentoring of staff.

  • Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team

  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills

  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information

  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions

  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is:

$97,594.00 - $165,910.00
