Network Systems Engineer
ICF is seeking a Network Systems Engineer. The Network Systems Engineer will be responsible for a Tier-3 Cisco network support environment (designing, documenting, and supporting the LAN/WAN networks, supporting VPNs (Cisco AnyConnect and Direct Access solution), e.g., GRE tunneling, and supporting enterprise wireless solutions. Will also Provides technical support to solutioning engineer and engineering-related projects. The ideal candidate will be self-driven and have the inherent interest to continue learning new technologies to solve problems.
Location: Washington, DC
What you will do:
Perform hands-on (installation, configuration, maintaining/upgrade IOS and router/switch configuration) implementation of network infrastructure including core switches, edge switches, routers, bandwidth management appliances, and related hardware and software.
Maintain and manages network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds and Cisco Prime Infrastructure including understanding Windows Server Operating System and Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
What you will need:
Cisco Certified Network Associate
Cisco Certified Network Professional
Cisco Certified Network Designer and/or Cisco Certified Internetwork Engineer certification.
15+ or more years of related experience.
U.S. Citizenship required (required by federal government for position).
