ICF is seeking a Deputy Project Manager for National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) projects to support our growing portfolio. ICF provides clients with environmental planning, policy, permitting, and other services. We prepare Environmental Impact Statements (EISs) and Environmental Assessments for complex and often controversial projects nationwide, including energy, transportation, and other infrastructure projects and regulatory programs. We manage environmental review processes that include consultation with regulatory agencies; public involvement; analysis of environmental, cultural, safety, socioeconomic, and other impacts, and specification of measures to mitigate adverse impacts. Our clients include numerous federal, state, and international agencies and private companies.
What You Will Do
Successful applicants to this position would be responsible for assisting in the preparation of EIS documents. This involves planning and completing project tasks related to developing and delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality products and services for complex and high-profile EISs. Our NEPA project coordinators work on multiple projects, interact with all levels of staff, and will apply their academic and past work experience knowledge to a wide variety of complex projects. You will work directly with clients and senior staff, as well as internal and external experts in their fields of expertise.
What You Need to Have
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in natural or physical science, public policy, economics, environmental management, or related subjects.
3+ years of environmental consulting experience (for government or private sector clients) with clients in the natural resources, energy, transportation, and related infrastructure and federal market sectors.
3 years of experience in the preparation of NEPA documents.
Experience supporting project management team.
Experience with developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and experience writing proposals.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and any project-specific software programs.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize and multi-task under strict deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to succeed with new and challenging tasks.
Sets challenging and measurable and sustainable goals in collaboration with the manager(s).
Identifies and meets the needs of clients within established guidelines.
Works collaboratively with project team and client to achieve established goals.
Experience with developing and maintaining project schedules.
Ability to understand and digest highly technical information.

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is
$70,374.00 - $119,636.00
