Manager, Experience Technology

Who we're looking for

ICF Next is looking to hire a Manager, Experience Technology, to join the team. As a Manager, Experience Technology, this person will support Agile development teams to interpret requirements, design technical solutions, provide estimates and feedback, and deliver high-quality code to web CMS and application solutions. Managers also mentor and manage other front end developers, contribute to business development and project planning, and provide to engineering management for our Experience Technology team.

This person will participate in discussions with the Agile team and clients to understand project requirements and issues and design solutions. The person will also meet with direct reports regularly to provide feedback and guidance, manage the performance review cycle for their reports, contribute to project staffing decisions, and support recruiting.

As an extension of the capability group and experience technology “Line of Business”, this person will drive strong collaboration and consistent practices in line with capability group vision and goals.

Across the team, they will lead with project planning and estimation, contribute to presales efforts, and provide engineering leadership on platforms and tools used across our team.

Below are the requirements for this role.

Must Haves

  • 8 to 10 years of professional experience building web sites, CMS solutions, or web or mobile applications.
  • Atleast 3 years of people management experience and some exposure to managing other people managers.
  • Proficient in goal setting, performance feedback and related administration.
  • Expertise on HTML, CSS, ES6 JavaScript and Web Standards
  • Expertise on browser developer tools, git code versioning platforms, and JIRA
  • Proficiency with WCAG guidelines and Web Accessibility development practices and responsive design
  • Expertise on JavaScript application frameworks such as React JS, Angular.js, Vue.js, Ember, or similar Web application frameworks
  • Proficiency with AJAX, browser data tools, and DOM
  • Expertise with front-end workflow automation tools and build tooling, including css precompilers, JavaScript testing and build tools, and CI/CD tools
  • Proficiency with Agile Software Development practices and concepts
  • Ability to design technical solutions and provide technical estimates
  • Experience with deployment of web solutions
  • Strong technical and consultative communication skills
  • Experience providing leadership and mentorship to other developers
  • Strong ability to organize, prioritize, and manage time
  • Strong ability to estimate projects, plan resources, and onboard developers
  • Experience interviewing and providing feedback to peers
  • Experience managing to meet staffing challenges, guiding personnel development through mentorship and performance goals, and performing other people management duties
  • Experience providing technical management by onboarding developers, managing a development stack, helping teams implement best practices, and contributing to knowledge management
  • Experience contributing to presales efforts including prototyping and application engineering
