LMS Administrator and Instructional Designer

Learning Management Systems Administrator/Instructional Designer

Location – Remote/Anywhere

Job Description:

ICF is seeking a Learning Management Systems Administrator/Instructional Designer for Utility Programs and Services Group.  In this role, you will work with project managers, technical subject matter experts, and clients to help define and develop virtual training offerings, as well as develop and maintain the learning management system platform.  This involves interviewing stakeholders to help refine and maintain training requirements and keep training documentation, certifications, and marketing/engagement resources up to date. Candidates should be comfortable working on a small team tasked with quick turnaround projects, and on projects that require creative problem solving. Candidates should be highly independent and driven to follow-up on tasks without prompting.  Our software solution is an evolving project so a desire and experience to work on a team with changing day to day responsibilities with a lot of detail is a must.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support meetings and demonstrations with internal and external stakeholders to showcase the software solution

  • Leverage knowledge of the product into concise and specific language to facilitate project manager, team member, and client stakeholder understanding

  • Leverage knowledge of the product to solve unique needs for programs licensing the software solution

  • Support project delivery through development of eLearning offerings, instructional design support, storyboards, wireframes, and content development

  • Manage team with task tracking and project management using project management tools

  • Work with and assist project implementation teams to develop and implement eLearning trainings

  • Support stakeholders through demonstrations, brainstorming sessions, creative problem solving, as well as one-on-one technical assistance

  • Manage the operational performance and day to day implementation, technical support, and growth tasks for the learning management system

  • Drive deeper learning experiences and engagement for voluntary eLearning programs

  • Develop an understanding of the operational processes and procedures and take initiative on process improvements

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in instructional design, educational technology, comparable degree or Bachelor’s degree with related areas of relevant work experience in instructional design, learning sciences, and educational technology

  • Three or more years of online course design experience or curriculum development and/or experience with development and management of learning management systems

  • Experience in online learning technologies and pedagogies

  • Experience with graphic design and multimedia content creation

  • Experience with adaptive technologies (VR, mobile, etc)

  • Clearly defines and documents business processes and training requirements

  • Creative problem solver capable of leveraging existing tools to create solutions

  • Balances and prioritizes multiple projects to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines

  • Works collaboratively and cohesively in a team environment

  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in MS Office products, learning management systems, and eLearning authoring tools including iSpring, Articulate, Adobe Presenter and video capture and editing
