Lead Drupal Engineer | Remote Position Within the US

ICF is looking for a Lead Drupal Engineer who is intimately familiar with Drupal site building, custom module development, front-end/theming. In this highly matrixed, team-centric environment, you will need to have excellent communication skills and be responsible, self-motivated, and not afraid to ask for help. 

What You’ll Do

• Architect and deliver Drupal sites that are fully compliant with standards for design, accessibility, security, and performance
• Write automated tests that support the delivery of quality software
• Help define and support your application’s path to production
• Coach junior engineers
• Work directly with stakeholders and team members to set and manage expectations throughout the life of the project
• Operate within an agile development process

Requirements

• All work must be conducted within the U.S.
• Must be capable of receiving a Public Trust level clearance
• You may be asked to travel one time to either NC or DC to pick up a badge in person
• As a contractor to the federal government, all hires may be required to complete additional background screenings at the time of hire or any time thereafter as requested.

What You’ll Bring

• 7+ years building secure, accessible, responsive web applications
• 5+ years building Drupal solutions, including module development, theming, and migrations
• Expert command of Drush and Composer
• A deep understanding of the fundamental technologies of the web: HTTP, SSL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JSON
• Experience writing automated tests
• A general understanding of containerization
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• A strong sense of ownership and engagement

Nice to Have

• Familiarity working in and with Cloud technologies like AWS and Acquia
• Familiarity with PHP frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, and CakePHP
• Experience building decoupled Drupal solutions
• A portfolio of work including links to projects with a summary of your role on each
• An active account on drupal.org
