This position calls for a software developer with solid experience in full life cycle software development. Daily activities will include design, implementation, integration, and application support efforts. This position is located in Woodlawn, MD (with remote flexibility) and requires a Public Trust background investigation.
On-site design, development, integration and support of application and associated peripherals
Analyze customer needs and provide software solutions as part of a team focused on meeting HSPD-12 goals
Analyze, Test, and resolve issues with application software and associated peripherals.
Support production application
Analyze and adapt electronic workflow system to customer needs
Create documentation to support software development life cycle to include requirements documents and software design documents
Work within on-site MKS version control software systems like Git, Bitbucket for code integrity
Other duties as assigned
Nine (9) years of software development experience plus a Bachelors Degree
Experience with the following technologies:
Experience with Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL
Experience with Application Web Servers: WebSphere preferred
Experience with the Angular platform
Experience in the following areas:
Experience with microservices
Experience with full software development life cycle
Experience with developing as part of a team, and using version control systems for code integrity
Experience with Application server administration
Experience with Microsoft Technologies (C#, VC++, VB, ActiveX) development and deployment
Experience with Homeland Security Presidential Directive-12 (HSPD-12)
Experience with version control systems like Git, Bitbucket
Experience with build tools like ANT, Maven
High level of written and verbal communications skills
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients both technical and non-technical
Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
Proven ability to adapt to new technologies and learn skills necessary for project completion
Ability to develop and execute detailed written plans for tasks and projects
Mature, self-motivated, adaptable and able to work well in a group environment
