Energy Efficiency – HVAC Account Manager
New York City, NY/Westchester County, NY
To support our growth in our Energy Efficiency Division, we are currently seeking an HVAC Account Manager for our Residential Energy Division to lead and grow ICF’s energy efficiency programs in New York City and Westchester County. You will manage an established residential energy efficiency program that would require you to provide technical guidance for energy-efficient products, savings calculations, and best practices and build relationships and trust with clients and work collaboratively with internal IT and Marketing departments to implement a program within goal and budget.
Develop and maintain relationships with heating and cooling manufacturers, key distributors, and contractors throughout the assigned territory.
Meet with key decision makers in the heating and cooling supply chain to discuss program participation and review any relevant participation agreements.
Program implementation and collaboration with a diverse team to implement methods to ensure successful program goal targets are met.
Collaboration with multiple groups to ensure processing, outreach, IT systems and staff are aligned in order to reach a common annual goal
Technical guidance on common mechanical and electrical equipment in residential and mixed- use buildings, including energy savings potential with a significant focus on high efficiency technology.
Interface with the client team for day-to-day planning and program rule questions.
Provide insight and recommendations for program changes based on existing market knowledge and program trends.
Provide an array of trade ally support and assistance services.
Bachelor’s degree preferred; work experience can be substituted for education
2+ years of experience developing, designing or administering successful energy efficiency or demand response programs
Demonstrated experience with MS Office, especially MS Excel and MS Word
Strong communication and negotiating skills
Knowledge of energy efficiency and US policies for residential and small commercial energy programs
Knowledge of energy efficient heating and cooling equipment
Ability to work independently in field-based environment and travel in assigned service territory
Must have valid driver’s license and successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check
Experience working on successful energy efficiency programs, with specific expertise in residential HVAC technology
Industry certifications including BPI, CEM, CDSM, PMP and professional affiliations including AESP, AEE, or ACEEE
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision making capabilities
Ability to work with all levels of internal employees, as well as outside clients and vendors
Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
