Health Communications Associate

We’re currently hiring for a Communication Associate, Health to work at our client site at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Ga.

As a Communication Associate, Health, you will:

  • Support our client in key areas of digital communication management , including strategy , audience segmentation, content development, copywriting and editing, plain language/clear communication and digital media channel management.
  • Use science-based communication strategies and tactics, including those that best resonate with audiences of focus, to reach and engage audiences to increase visibility of government training programs, resources, and materials.
  • Coordinate communication product development, working with client and ICF communication specialists to write, edit and track educational and promotional materials to support a range of communication efforts.
  • Disseminate digital content through client and partner channels to increase visibility of client’s programs and services to a variety of professional and citizen-based audiences.
  • Support key project tasks and work with senior and junior staff on the prioritization, coordination, completion and submission of key project deliverables.

As a Communication Associate, Health, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public health, health communication, marketing, public relations, social sciences, or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of communications experience, government experience preferred.
  • Strong writing skills, with a experience writing for a variety of platforms to include digital fact sheets, short-form videos, web pages and social media accounts.
  • Ability to think creatively and contribute to solutioning clients’ communications challenges/problems (e.g., new influencer engagement or ways to visualize complex information).
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize, manage and communicate multiple tasks at a given time.
  • U.S. citizenship (required by Federal government for position)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates that meet above requirements and have project management experience or certifications will be prioritized.

Job Location(s): Within the current landscape, this role will be supported remotely until the client enacts its return to work plans in Atlanta, Ga., scheduled in early 2022.
