ICF’s New Delhi office provides economic, technical and management consulting services in energy, climate, aviation, digital and health domain. Our thorough understanding of our clients' needs enables us to help governments and private sector companies, donor agencies throughout the Asian, South East Asian and Pacific markets to improve their sustainability. We work very closely with colleagues from other ICF offices, particularly those in the UK and Europe and also North America.
To support our growth we are currently seeking a person to Head our Energy Efficiency and sustainability work and grow ICF’s energy efficiency programs. We expect the individual to be a visible leader in this domain of EE and sustainability in India and have existing relationships at CXO level with stakeholders/ clients. Our clients include donor agencies, recognizable Fortune 500 global corporations, as well as a variety of industry, and Government organizations.
Winning and delivering consulting projects in the area of energy efficiency and sustainability
Lead /Idea generation with clients that lead to sole source or competitive proposal submissions
Responding to tenders where we have a strong chance of winning by:
Supporting capture activities for the opportunities
Developing compelling proposals for clients that stand out
Developing and managing high quality relationships with senior decision makers in client organisations.
Co-creating business ideas with our clients that help India advance towards a more sustainable energy sector
Leading project delivery for all EE projects and ensuring client satisfaction leading to a ‘wow’ factor and recall within the client organisation.
Business and project management
Monitoring and managing projects in terms of activities, quality and timeliness of outputs/deliverables and outcomes.
Managing finances for the projects (ensuring profitability)
Managing multi-functional team comprising specialists (ICF internal staff and subcontractors/experts)
Expanding the team as well as well as organizing, developing, directing and mentoring team staff.
Supporting UK Energy projects
The team in India works closely with our Energy colleagues in the UK and Europe and supports many international projects. The individual will be expected to continue this mutually beneficial association.
Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (Engineering) required
Certified Energy Auditor from BEE
Minimum 12-15 years of experience developing and managing successful energy efficiency programs, with specific expertise in commercial and industrial energy efficiency issues
Expertise and understanding of emerging areas such as – industrial heat decarbonization, Combined Heat and Power
Preferred knowledge of CCUS and Hydrogen
Minimum 5 years of past consulting experience - in managing consulting projects, including providing quality control and budget accountability
Familiarity with the commercial, industrial and institutional market and with related energy efficient technologies & programs
Experience in managing staff and financial resources.
Strong client relationships and industry contacts
Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills in English
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
Proficiency in MS Office Applications
