We are actively seeking a client facing, Equity and Inclusion, Director, to lead, enhance, and sustain ICF’s ongoing efforts to strengthen our Federal Agency clients’ organizational and mission-focused equity and inclusion (E&I) objectives and outcomes.

Your primary focus will be to leverage our corporate values, staff expertise and capabilities to help us to deliver solutions that support our Federal clients’ whole-of-government agenda to address racial inequities and the needs of underserved communities.

In this role, you will serve in a leadership capacity and in full partnership with our delivery and growth leaders to:

  • Assess and guide our efforts to help ICF effectively respond to evolving and relevant Federal Agency needs and requirements

  • Continuously hone and apply equity management principles and tools to our solutioning and delivery efforts

  • Work across the firm to leverage a wide variety of leading-edge E&I related capabilities

  • Lead E&I thought leadership efforts

Success for you will mean anticipating future needs informed by active client and partner engagement, crafting effective strategies and frameworks, and prioritizing and implementing initiatives and activities to meet those needs and to deliver outcomes.

As an Equity and Inclusion, Director, you will:

Client Engagement

  • Actively engage Federal Agency clients, partners, influencers and thought leaders to monitor, assess and anticipate evolving mission focused E&I related customer needs, trends, and procurement requirements.

  • Ensure situational awareness of market insight and implications amongst delivery and growth leaders.

  • Work with Corporate and our delivery and growth leaders and others to train and enable client facing staff to be equipped and comfortable engaging our clients on these issues and topics with the goal to better understand and act upon client needs – including co-creating and/or validating outcome-oriented solutions.

Growth and Delivery - Applying Equity Management Principles and Tools to Solutioning and Delivery

  • Working closely with our growth and delivery leaders to enhance existing and develop new customer-centric E&I offerings to meet evolving and expanding market needs

  • Advocate for and ensure integration of outcome-oriented E&I related approaches and solutions in our delivery and business development activity in support of our customers

  • Ensure the application of equity management considerations, principles and tools early (and often) in the business development lifecycle.

Thought Leadership and Outreach

  • Lead efforts to develop and effectively implement needed go-to-market and implementation strategies and tactics.

  • Serve as an active thought leader and expert to both external and internal audiences to position ICF as a market leader delivering effective E&I solutions and outcomes.

Alignment and Collaboration across ICF

  • Leverage skills, resources, and expertise across the firm to continuously hone and scale our equity management tool kit.

  • Maintain strong understanding and applicability of ICF’s in-depth, diverse, and relevant expertise and solutions.

  • Align internal and external activities and initiatives with Corporate-wide E&I initiative.

As an Equity and Inclusion, Director, you will have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; advanced degree preferred.

  • 12+ years of experience delivering solutions and serving as a thought leader, preferably in the public sector marketplace.

  • Demonstrated experience serving as an E&I expert and thought leader, preferably in the public sector marketplace.

  • Demonstrated experience with federal BD lifecycle identifying, qualifying, going-to-market and maintaining small business relationships in the federal market.

  • Demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of the professional services market supporting the federal government.

  • Proven history of partnering with small businesses, relevant non-profit organizations, and academia such as Historically Black Colleges and Universities to advance E&I solutions.

  • A strong and accessible network of E&I thought leaders and clients to help inform market assessment and the maturing and effectiveness of our capabilities and solutions.

  • Proven skills and experience engaging new and existing clients - ideally in the E&I space

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing outcome-oriented E&I approaches to support our growth goals and client needs.

  • An ability to prioritize a complex scope of work and identify/leverage other ICF assets where possible to advance our E&I initiatives.

  • Strong leadership qualities and proven experience influencing and “managing without authority” in a matrixed environment.
